Firsts

Today was a day of firsts....... Eli had his first DATE today. Can you believe I am @ THAT stage already? Sam had his first baseball practice today. He made 2 runs & got 2 players out. He LOVED it! He starts a preseason tournament next week. His first game is Tuesday nite @ 7:30 in Middle Valley. Do these people forget about schoolnite bedtimes? Anyway here are some pics from our big day of firsts.

Home

Sam is home and feeling much better today. He is on antibotics for another week. No recess or gym in school. Then another xray @the end of the week. As long as his fever stays below 101 we will hopefully stay out of the doctors for the next few days. Which my wallet really needs! Thanks for the prayers- I'll keep you posted.

Sam

This is turning into my medical alert blog. Sam got sick Monday night. He went to dr. Tuesday thought it was just viral. Temp went to 103.8 Tues. afternoon. Back in on Wednesday- white count 22000( 2-12000 normal) xray showed pneumonia. Got iv fluids & antiobotics@ office. Got worse that night so was admitted to Childrens. Not much better today - probably staying tonight as well. He doesn't have a cough so the pneumonia isn't breaking up. Pray my baby gets better soon. I will try to keep you updated. Jamie is in Canada so it's diffcult to get time @ home to post.

Another Eli update

Of course nothing is simple @ the Johnson house. Eli was still not feeling well. Monday & Tuesday he was still spending his days on the couch. Wednesday(9 days post-op) the surgeon sent us for another xray & worked us in for a visit. We compared that film w/ the one from last Sunday. In a foggy mess of a belly was our answer-Eli was F.O.S.( full of stool). To such an extent his spine was curved from the pressure. So back to the ER we went. After an extremely long couple of hours & an enema the problem was solved. This was highly invasive & violating for the poor child. That evening Eli was TOTALLY back to normal. After 2 weeks of being sick I forgot how hyper my child is!!! Very Thankful all is finally well. Sorry everybodys been sick. Hope you all get well soon . Thanks for your prayers.
